The Icones Orchidacearum Brasilienses include the new species described after the revision of Brazilian orchids made by G.F.J.Pabst & F.Dungs and published in “Orchidaceae Brasilienses”, in 1975 and 1977, Volume I and II respectively. Besides, this volume presents the species whose genera were specially studied by the author in a systematic work. The volume II of Icones Orchidacearum Brasiliensis II continues this project. The new species described after 1977 and included in this work are shown with a (*) and (**) for the new taxa at the index. In the genera Baptistonia all Brazilian species known are presented as well as the remainder of the species of Encyclia and almost all species of the genus Leptotes.
