A
detailed photographic study of 250 Brazilian orchid
species, classified under 88 genera; some of them
rarely seen, and their synonyms.
This core work developed by The Orchidstudium
Project is an on-going effort with the goal of
making possible the ready identification of any
Brazilian orchid species. For such, beyond the
flower and its details with shots in different
angles, the authors also present photos of the
entire plant, the inflorescence, and details of
the vegetative part, as many as it is necessary
in each case.
Additionally, about 430 non-Brazilian species
among the almost 3.000 high definition photos
The authors have been working on this project
research for more than one decade.
The Encyclopedia is presented in an auto run
CD-ROM, written both in Portuguese and English
languages, free of installation, with friendly
interface. A great knowledge of computer science
is not necessary for its use

This 2nd volume
of the series Orchidstudium project goes on with
the Brazilian Orchidaceae studies and presents
the lists of 250 Brazilian species and its synonyms,
dispersion and flower sizes.
Besides, there thumbnails
of 650 species classified under 88 genera and more
than 1200 large photos of 250 species.
For helping
in identification, the photos of each species photos
show flowers details in different points of view,
vegetative habit, inflorescence and another anatomical
details.
It also included small photos of 430 no
Brazilian species frequently found under cultivation
in Brazil
